FORT HUNTER LIGGETT Housing
Fort Hunter Liggett has 84 Army Family Housing Units. Composition is 2-4 bedroom units, duplex, town homes, and single family units. All units have an attached 1.5 car garage with opener. Army Families forfeit their Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) and DOD civilian employees pay the fair market rental rate established by the Corp of Engineers - Sacramento, Calif. The BAH or rental rate includes basic utilities, water, garbage, propane, and electricity.
Housing availability changes daily depending upon inbound personnel. It is recommended that you contact the Housing Office at (831) 386-2075/3197/2845 to obtain current status of housing availability. All personnel will need to submit a DD-1746 Application for Family Housing and a copy of their orders. DOD civilians must have a copy of your offer letter of employment and proof of dependent status to qualify for Army Family Housing at Fort Hunter Liggett.
The Housing Services Office staff looks forward to serving the needs of our Army Families and the DOD civilians with both on and off post housing options. We will provide referral services to those individuals who prefer to reside out in the community. Please contact our office before entering into any lease agreement.
FORT HUNTER LIGGETT unaccompanied Housing
Fort Hunter Liggett has 186 Military Billeting rooms and 36 Open Bay rooms. Composition is 96 single rooms and 36 Open Bay rooms accommodating up to 1440 personnel. The majority of the Billeting rooms are equipped with their own bathrooms, which composes of some that are modified with a bathroom connecting two rooms, and rooms without private bathrooms will utilize the floor latrine. All buildings are equipped with a Laundry Facility and Day Room. Linen is also available for units conducting Annual Training at Fort Hunter Liggett.
Billeting availability changes daily depending upon inbound personnel. It is recommended that you contact the UPH/Billeting Office at (831) 386-2535/2644 to obtain current status of billeting availability. All personnel will need to submit a TSR-Form Training Support Request Form for Billeting and a copy of the soldier's orders for all Mobilized and/or Active Guard Reserve Soldiers requiring UPH quarters.
