WEEKLY HUNTING & FISIHING UPDATE

Updated April 10, 2014

New Teletrac Registration System

All users of Fort Hunter Liggett's hunting and fishing areas must check in and out of hunting areas and fishing ponds using the Teletrac automated telephone system.

The Teletrac system lets hunters and anglers sign into and out of hunting areas or reservoirs using their Fort Hunter Liggett permit number and a PIN of their choosing. Effective immediately, registration forms will not be issued by the staff - all checking in, checking out and changing areas will be done using Teletrac. The switch is being made for the convenience of our hunters and anglers while still ensuring daily accountability.

After registering with Teletrac, you must print a vehicle pass for each vehicle, each day you will be at Fort Hunter Liggett.

Harvest reporting

All hunters must file a harvest report listing each animal harvested before checking out of the hunting area.

Register Weapons

To hunt anywhere on Fort Hunter Liggett, and to bring weapons through the gate into the cantonment area, all weapons must be registered with the Fort Hunter Liggett Police Department. See links at right for information and registration form.

Hunting Area Information

Information about which hunting and fishing areas are available each weekend is usually posted on this page and on the recorded information phone line, 831-386-3310, after 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Non-lead ammunition only

Non-lead ammunition - bullets, sabots, slugs shotgun shells - is required for all hunting with all firearms, regardless of calibers or gauge.
